Each event has been carefully chosen to do two things. One is to have fun. The second is to put your child in an environment of learning. Each event is a class, and offers opportunities to teach. It is their last safe place to learn more and practice the social skills and manners that will support them in their future success. How many times have I heard parents say they wish they had had such training? Your child will not truly begin to see the wisdom of this training until college. Then they will step away from the protected environment of family and begin to face Life. That can be a daunting task. The repeated teachings and polishing of this third year will build your child’s knowledge that his/her social skills and manners are correct. Owning this knowledge is their competitive edge.
The job of parents is to prepare their children for an unknown future. The Out-and-About program has been designed to be a part of that preparation.
“Our son Chris took all three years and definitely has the competitive edge Mrs. Millet speaks of. Everywhere he goes he stands out. He has not just learned his social skills he owns them and has an enormous amount of poise and confidence that helped him get accepted into U.C. Irvine” Trisha Proffitt
