1. Where can I buy white gloves? Junior Manners Cotillion will have gloves for sale at each class. They are $10.00 per pair. Most major department stores will have them. Ask for the millinery (hats, gloves, purses) department. If they are sold out, check with any bridal boutique. 2. How do I make up a class? Refer to your Cotillion Information Papers. Included is a list of all classes, dates and locations. You may also get it from this website at: www.polite.com/schedules.html. Once you decide on a convenient date and location call our office to schedule a make-up class. You may make-up at any location. The same information is taught in all classes for a month. 3. Is it too late to join? We have missed one class. All material taught in the September class is reviewed in the October class and reinforced throughout the entire season. Yes you may still join in October. 4. Is it too late to join? We have missed two classes. Mrs. Millet makes these decisions on an individual basis. It is best to speak with her. 5. Is it too late to join? Have missed three classes. Yes it is too late to join for this season. The student would be too far behind. 6. Can my 6th grader and 8th grader be in the same Class? The 6th Grade and the Life Skills Programs are completely different. It is best that each child be with his/her friends in their own age group. It is not fair to the children to be put in the same class for the sake of convenience. 7. Must the girls wear nylons? Today’s fashion is to have your toenails painted and wear an open toe shoe. This is acceptable in the summer. However, by November, we are into fall/winter dress codes. That means no more open toe shoes. The girls will find it is warmer to wear stockings as well as more comfortable in an enclosed shoe. Young girls may wear socks. 8. Can I give you my credit card number over the phone to make a payment? For your convenience we accept credit cards (Visa or Mastercard) online at our web site via a secure connection. We are not set up to accept any credit card payments in our office. 9. Why do you need my child’s photograph? What do you do with it? Your child’s photograph is attached to the registration card and filed in our office. As we have over 500 students and we only meet with them once a month, it is most helpful to have a face to go with the name while we are working with the cards in the office. Also, we take pictures in class for Mrs. Millet’s scrapbook. It is helpful to be able to name the students in the pictures. 10. Is there and extra charge for the December Events or Balls? No. Your tuition covers all scheduled activities for the season. 11. Can my son attend the Spring Ball if he is not wearing a tuxedo? It would be sad for a young man to be absent from this special occasion because he was not in a tuxedo. He will fit right in wearing a dark suit, white shirt, black tie, black socks and shoes. |
